South Carolina State House Recognition

On April 23,  Joey and fellow soldiers from the 117th Engineer Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard, were proudly recognized by the South Carolina State House in a ceremony for their work revitalizing the McCormick County Airport.

The construction project lasted over 8 weeks and included preliminary meetings and planning. They collaborated with other Units (listed below).  The airport construction saved tax payers a significant amount of money and was an investment into future revenue of the area, which is located about 1 hour from Augusta National.  The project was part of the SC National Guard Innovative Readiness Training mission which sharpens critical skills, mission readiness, and makes a lasting impact on community.

Lee Built Homes founder and owner, Joey Varin, was proud to take his daughter Mallory, to see the State House and attend the ceremony.
