Who We Are

A builder focused on results and the relationship.

We’re a custom home builder and renovation expert serving Hilton Head and the surrounding Lowcountry.  We’re known for our hard work and results-driven approach to building.  Whether you are renovating or building a custom home, your relationship with your builder is important.  Selecting a builder requires a lot of trust.  We know you don’t take that leap lightly so our commitment to integrity is paramount.

We’re proud to say that we have made lifelong friends with many of our clients. Since any building process doesn’t happen overnight and may projects may take months or years to complete, we get to know our clients, their families, and listen intently. Building a partnership that is honest and authentic is at the heart of our approach.  Responding quickly and being accessible is important to our clients and we make that a priority.

We suspect, too, that you’ll want to get to know us as people, not just as the builder you are entrusting with your largest financial asset.

Joey Varin

Growing Up and Education

Joey grew up on Hilton Head Island and graduated from Hilton Head High School. His passion for building was demonstrated early on building forts and skate ramps.  With no training or supervision, Joey and his friends learned how to use any tools, cut radii, drill, make level foundations or frame just about anything!  The good ole days.

Joey graduated the Citadel in 1999, earning not only his degree but a foundation for how he lives his life.  From his experience at the Citadel, Joey learned attention to detail, time management, the importance of our integrity and the importance of serving a greater good.  His character was built at the Citadel and he brings it with him in his business.

Active Duty United States Army and South Carolina National Guard

Joey was active-duty United States Army and deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq as an infantryman with the 10th Mountain Division.  Today, he serves in the SC National Guard as an Engineer Officer where he is a Major and the Executive Officer of an Engineer Battalion of approximately 650 personnel.  As an Engineer Officer, he has worked on combat engineer tactical tasks, vertical construction projects and horizontal construction projects and is proud to have worked in response to state and national emergencies with the National Guard in South Carolina and Puerto Rico.  Joey has attended non-commissioned officer leader courses, sniper courses, officer leader courses, engineer officer courses and am currently enrolled in the command and general staff college.

Family

Joey is married to Katie Varin and they have 2 beautiful daughters. He says: “They are the reason I do anything worth doing.  I love to spend time with them from the dinner table to vacation.” When not working, you’ll find Joey enjoying quality time with his family.
